Steeped in European traditions and Caribbean influences, the Big Easy is a celebration of sights, sounds and flavors, fueled by three hundred years of history. When you are not soaking up the education at the AUA Annual Meeting, we hope you will take time to discover this unique, world-class city! Follow the scent of gumbo through cobblestone streets, stroll to the sweet sounds of jazz or a Blues guitar, explore the famous French Quarter, and feast on authentic culinary delights that call Louisiana home. You can expect the average temperature to be about 77° Fahrenheit (25° Celsius)—the perfect weather to soak up the sun and enjoy everything this incomparable city has to offer!
The AUA is delighted to have New Orleans native Dr. J. Christian Winters be part of the AUA2015 program. Renowned for his work in female urology, Dr. Winters is Chairman and Professor of the Department of Urology at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Few know New Orleans better than Dr. Winters, and he has made a list of his favorite restaurants to share with AUA2015 attendees.
